1.     Collection of Personal Data and Maximum Storage Time

 

1.1.    Personal data within the meaning of this data protection policy statement is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter „data subject“). This may include, for example, your name, your address, your phone number, and your email address.

1.2.    Personal data also includes information on your use of our website. In case you only use our website for informational purposes, i.e., if you do not contact us or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect and process the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. This involves the following data which is technically necessary for us to provide our website to you, to ensure stability and security and to record user preferences:

  • the date, time, and time zone difference of your particular access;
  • the name and URL of the files retrieved as well as quantity and status of the data transfer;

1.3.    If you contact us by email, we will also store your email address and, if necessary, further personal data that you provide to us in order to answer your questions. We will delete the data thus obtained as soon as storage is no longer necessary or restrict processing if there are any applicable statutory retention provisions.

 

2.     Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis for Processing

2.1.1.  ensuring failure-free operation of our website, in particular with respect to establishing a connection between our server and your device and transmitting data over it;

2.1.2.  facilitating the comfortable use of our website and measuring the degree of its capacity utilisation as well as user preferences;

2.1.3.  maintaining and/or restoring the security of our IT systems as well as detecting and eliminating technical problems or errors;

2.1.4   processing your request in case the data is gathered in accordance with section 1.3. of this data protection policy statement.

2.2.     Legal Basis for Processing

 

2.2.1.  Your personal data is processed on the basis of art. 6(1)(f) GDPR because we have a legitimate interest in carrying out the processing for the purposes stated in section 2.1. of this data protection policy statement.

2.2.2.  If you have given us your consent to the use of certain cookies on the basis of a notice given by us on our website (“cookie consent banner”), the legal basis for processing is in addition art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent to this at any time. However, this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data that was carried out on the basis of your consent up to the point of revocation.

3.     Logfiles and Cookies

 

3.1.    The data on your use of our website obtained in accordance with section 1.2..of this data protection policy statement is stored for the duration of your browser session in a log file on our server. If data is stored beyond the duration of the communication process, it is anonymized beforehand so that it is no longer possible to draw conclusions to you as an individual.

  • in accordance with art. 16 GDPR obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you;
  • in accordance with art. 17 GDPR obtain erasure of your personal data stored by us unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • in accordance with art. 18 GDPR obtain restriction of processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is contested by you or if the processing is unlawful, but you oppose the erasure of your personal data or if we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or if you objected to processing in accordance with art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with art. 20 GDPR receive the personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or have us transmit your personal data directly to another controller.
